How to Add Your Email Signature to Outlook.com and Office 365

To add your htmlsig signature to Outlook.com or Office 365 (Outlook on the web), copy it from your signature page, then go to Settings > Account > Signatures, click Add signature, paste it in and click Save.

Outlook.com, Office 365 on the web and the new Outlook for Windows now share the same settings, so these steps work for all three. For screenshots, see how to add a signature to Outlook for Windows and web.

Step 1: Copy your signature

  1. Open your signature in htmlsig from the Signatures page.
  2. Click Open in New Tab. Your signature opens on its own in a new window.
  3. Select the whole signature (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A) and copy it (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C).

Step 2: Add it to Outlook.com

  1. Sign in to Outlook.com or Office 365 and click the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Go to Account > Signatures.
  3. Click Add signature and give it a name.
  4. Click into the editor box and paste your signature (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V).
  5. Check Set default for new messages and, if you like, Set default for replies and forwards.
  6. Click Save.

Create a new email to check that your signature appears.
