How Do I Save My Email Signature?

To save a new signature, click Create Signature at the bottom of the editor. If you're editing an existing one, the button says Update Signature. Either way, htmlsig saves your changes and takes you to your signature's page.

How to save your signature

  1. Fill in your details and check each tab (Main, Social, Disclaimer, Banner, Extras, Style).
  2. Click Create Signature (or Update Signature) at the bottom of the page.
  3. You'll see a "Signature was successfully created" (or "updated") message along with a preview of your signature.

If something can't be saved, for example a field that's too long, the editor shows an error at the top of the form. Fix the field and click the button again.

The preview next to the editor updates as you type, but nothing is saved until you click the button. Clicking Cancel or leaving the page throws away your changes.

What to do after saving

Install your signature in your email app. The signature page lists the most common email apps, each linking to step-by-step instructions. Popular guides include:

The same page also has buttons to Open in New Tab, Download the signature, or view its Source Code, which some email apps need.

How to find and edit your signature later

All your saved signatures are listed on your signatures page. Open one and click Edit to make changes, or Duplicate to use it as the starting point for a new one. After you update a signature, install it again in your email app so the changes show up there.
